About TCNT

TCNT was created in 2011 as a non-profit corporation to utilize advocacy, education, and communication, focused on key stakeholders, to advance transit projects in North Texas. TCNT advocates for the advancement of transit projects in our region by educating the public on the benefits of transit, engaging with local elected officials to encourage their support of transit, working with the transit agencies across the region to collaboratively advance transit, and encouraging utilization of the systems to increase ridership.”

TCNT is a champion for a world-class regional transit network where every community has seamless access to high-quality transit to support regional growth.

TCNT advances transit in North Texas through advocacy, education, stakeholder engagement, and regional collaboration.

Board

Purpose

The purposes for which TCNT is formed are those set forth in its certificate of formation, as it may be from time to time amended, including:
1. Educate decision-makers on the benefits of public transportation.
2. Demonstrate business community support for transit to local and state elected officials.
3. Promote a positive image of local transit agencies.
4. Encourage collaboration among all regional transit agencies to advance key initiatives.
5. Advocate for increased funding and transit-supportive policies.
